Your donation to the Chicken Scratch Campaign will support coop builds and training for these four communities.
Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger

Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency food and other social services to residents of central Brooklyn. BSCAH plans to distribute the eggs raised through their City Chicken Project to the more than 9,000 Brooklyn residents who receive nutritious groceries through their client choice pantry each month.
Cypress Hills Verde!
Cypress Hills Verde! a new project of the Cypress Hills Local Community Development Corporation, seeks to make the Cypress Hills community a greener, healthier, more sustainable place to live for all of its residents. Their chickens will reside in the Development Corporation's brand new community garden.
Community School 211
Community School 211 is a K-8 bilingual school in Tremont, Bronx. Their chickens will live in the school's garden, which is used for nutrition and science education. This summer, they plan to create a garden CSA, where students and families volunteer in the garden and harvest shares of eggs and vegetables.

P.S. 11: The William T. Harris School is a public elementary school located in the heart of Chelsea. Their chickens will reside in the school's garden, where they will live among the butterfly and shade gardens, composting area, rainbarrels and raised beds. The chickens will be cared for by students and parent volunteers, and incorporated into classroom curricula.
