What is Farm-to-Pantry?

Just Food's Farm-to-Pantry program helps food pantries and other emergency food programs make fresh, nutritious, locally grown food available to families and individuals in need. In addition to providing vegetables for the city's most vulnerable residents, this program helps build the knowledge and capacity of food pantry staff and clients through cooking demonstrations, farm visits, and other educational opportunities.

Just Food’s Farm-to-Pantry Program is currently focused on Local Produce Link, a program we manage in partnership with United Way of NYC and with funding from the Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) of New York.

We are always looking to share the lessons we have learned through Local Produce Link with other organizations that want to bring locally grown food to low-income communities.
