ADDITIONAL PRODUCT PROVIDERS

Just Food refers to all non-vegetable products as Additional Products and as the producers of non-vegetable items as Additional Product Providers.  This includes but is not limited to fruit, eggs, dairy, meat, wine, bread, honey, maple syrup, flowers, and more. 

Additional Product Providers have two options for marketing their products through Just Food:

  1. Sell products at our City Farms Markets.  See Grow for NYC: City Farms Markets or fill out our City Farms Markets Application
  2. Provide their product(s) to CSA in NYC groups.  Continue reading for more details.

An additional product provider is a farmer who provides some products to a CSA that are unavailable from their CSA farmer. This provider is not a CSA farmer, but works with an already formed CSA group.  Once the connection has been made between an additional product provider and the CSA group, the core group and the farmer can figure out the specifics of ordering and delivering. The order and delivery timing is usually flexible; depending on the products, it is possible to purchase additional products by season, on a weekly or biweekly basis, or only once or twice a season.
