    About Byron Hurt

    Byron Hurt is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, published writer, anti-sexist activist, and lecturer. Hurt is also the host of the Emmy-nominated series, "REEL WORKS with BYRON HURT." The Independent named him one of the "Top 10 Filmmakers to Watch" in 2011.

    Important Scholarship Information

    This year, we are offering partial scholarships to deserving groups and individuals to be used towards admission to the Just Food Conference. This partial scholarship would allow you to attend the conference for $15 per day, rather than the regular ticket rate of $45 per day. Lunch is included. 

    The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2013. All applicants will be notified with a decision by February 15th.

    7:00 - 7:30pm:  Follow-up conversations, free local drinks and bites.

    EXPO

    On Saturday, March 30th, Just Food will host an EXPO at the Just Food Conference 2013. This event will run from 12pm-6:30pm, including a closing reception from 4:30pm-6:30pm. The EXPO will feature exemplary local food artisans, sustainable businesses, and organizations. Over 1,000 conference attendees will have the opportunity to engage with EXPO participants throughout Saturday's conference day.
